MAKE THE LYME PATIENT VOICE HEARD IN DC
In the last call to action, you were asked to contact the US House Appropriations Committee. That campaign was hugely successful and resulted in the committee reporting out Lyme disease language to the full house. (Click here to see LDA press release.)
Now you must do the same for the US Senate. Please call ASAP (July 21st thru July 27th) The same appropriation language has been submitted to the US Senate Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, & Education (of Senate Appropriations Committee) -
- Directing the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) to create a
Tick-Borne Diseases Advisory Committee
- Calling upon NIH to convene a scientific workshop to review all scientific perspectives on Lyme disease
- Directing CDC to develop improved and more comprehensive diagnostic tools for Lyme.
